Kolar district   is  so famous  for  mango’s production every year  this taluk exports mango’s to india’s various cities and also abroad countries  and also Kolar District Agriculture product marketing Corporation( APMC) is  largest  Tamato exports from this place to India’s various cities  and also  abroad like Bangaladesh,  srilanka and other countries.

1.       Antragange hills : It’s beautiful landscape ,        3 K.M west of the city on one of the  planes of satha sringa parvatha . The sweet water gushing out from the mouth of Basavanna at Antharagange is a miracle to the devotees, an enigma to the learned and above all a thing of joy. And  also it’s suitable  who loves  trekking  it’s  contains natural big rock stones  comfortable place to  relaxing weekend times.

2.       Therahalli  hills:       It’s beautiful landscape , 2 K.M from National Highway-75  which connecting city on one of the  planes of satha sringa parvatha . this  hills  including Adeema kutera  this place  where you can visit  Every month of  Hunemai days you can enjoy “jaanapada  cultural” activities.
 

 
      3.      Shivarapatana: Shivarapatna is a village panchayat located in the Kolar district of Karnataka state,India. the Village Shivarapatna is very well known for its intricate carvings on black and grey granite to make idols for temples. The Shivarapatna craft is popular all over India and abroad. There are myths that “During the period of Ganga Dynasty a ‘shilpi’ (Craftsperson) named Basulinga Acharya was traveling from a place which were near Karnataka and Tamil Nadu border in then India to some other place and he spent a night in a Dharmashala in the village Shivarapatna. Tradition, culture and values represent Shivarapatna which is synonymous with the word sculpture and currently with about 700 members of 300 families are engaged in stone craft. The sculptors of Shivarapatna in Karnataka keep alive the 1,000-year-old artistic tradition. Shivarapatna is a unique village in the country which has been made into a traditional sculpture centre.  Shivarapatna is- also renowned for its metal casting (Pancha Loha, an alloy of copper, zinc, lead, silver, and gold). Deities and warriors of Chalukyan Period are the main source of inspiration for Shivarapatna sculptures. It is believed that the Shilpi’s, sculptors, of Shivarapatna are descendants of the craftsmen who constructed the temples of Belur, Hampi and Hoskote.

4.       Kolar Gold Field:  KGF or Kolar Gold Fileds is a mining region and taluk, in the kolar district.K.G.F where reside mainly the families  of the employees  of Bharat Gold mines Limited (BGML) KGF is about 30 km from kolar  and 100 km  from Bangalore. To the east of KGF is a ridge of  hills  of which  Dod Betta hills.  The town was known for gold mining  for  over a century.

5.       Budikote : Budikote or  the “Fort of Ash” is a small village  situated  in Bangarpet Taluk of kolar District in Karnataka state of india. It is  about 24 km  from  Kolar  Gold fields the  nearest city. It has an old fort, hence the  name .it is also  the birthplace of Hyder Ali,  father of Tippu Sultan.

Religious  Temples:

1.       Kolaramma Temple: the clan of Gangas ruled “Kuvalala” contry before  the advent of cholas. Kolaramma( Pidariyar chamundeshwary of saptha Matrikas) was their principal God .Cholas  reconstructed the temple.

2.       Someswara Temple:  This is  a grand temple being  a specimen of Dravidian  architeeture  build  in a vast area with big and beautiful  outer mantapa, Mukha mantapa, Antharala and  Garbhagriha, The  open mantapa is an  epitome of stunning beauty.


3.       Kurudumale : This village  is 12 KM from  mulbagal town.  The range  of hills  here in called  koundinya Giri the legend of this Kshetra finds a  place  in Brahmanda  purana. The  big  vinayaka vigraha of 13.5 feet invites  on to bow  before and pray.

4.       Garuda Temple: The  Garuda  temple located in koladevi a small village  located in mulbagal taluk in kolar district, Karnataka. This  is one of  the very few temples which  has  its  principle diety as “Garuda swamy” who is  the  vehicle of the  supreme lord Vishnu.

5.       Virupakshi Temple:  Lekkanna Dandesha a general of vijayanagara and  the author of shiva Tattva chintamani built this  temple at Virapakshi. Which  is 4km from Mulbagal town,Kolar district.

6.       Bangaru Tirupathi:The Temple resemble Tirupati Venkateshwara  and is it Guttahalli on the way to  Bethamangala from Mulbagal taluk.

7.       Hazrath Baba Hyder vali Dargah:  The Urus at Hazarath Baba Hyder vali Dargah here in Mulbagal is  very famous and  people throng this place  during  the Urus.

8.       Hazarath Khutub-e- Ghowri Dargah: The Urus at Hazarath Khutub-e- Ghowri Dargah here in Kolar city near Clock tower  is  very famous and  people throng this place  during  the Urus.
